I don't generally care for primarily "puzzle"-oriented games, but Ooo does something I really value: takes a genre I really enjoy (metroidvania) and condenses the experience down into a tight, single-session experience. No lulls, just learning and using systems and then it's done.

You're right. I never cared for StS, so I seem to have somehow completely removed it from consideration, but yeah, it obviously was doing that before autobattlers or Hades.
