I take the opposite view here but reach the same conclusion. I *think* it probably was caught but completely agree that not out is an is a completely reasonable decision. There is doubt. Most importantly though, moral victory to the Aussies
Surprised to see people arguing the non-catch. Pretty clear it brushed the ground which may have helped Smith get purchase to flick it up. Too much doubt to give it, at the least. Amazing effort, though.

The asterisk next Bethell’s runs in the first two tests were that they were not in pressure situations. Fair enough and I’m not sure this would count as pressure either but battling away from that situation overnight and scoring runs shows a degree of character

This an an impressive collective effort, for sure. Atkinson and Bashir though, almost matched the previous collective effort on their own. Phenomenal effort, how the hell does Atkinson have 50 already? Also be good to see Hartley get another go at some point

I would suggest Carse has started to leapfrog his way up the pecking order in tests in quite a short space of time. What is the pecking order currently do we think? If the Mens Ashes were tomorrow, which three bowlers are you playing and who are your two in rotation?
