Gosh, my brother and I absolutely loved Homestar Runner growing up (especially the Strong Bad emails). My parents even found some of them to be hilarious, I can remember my mom cracking up from "That Time of Year". Snippets entered our family's pool of inside jokes and slang, even to this day.

That's not necessary a bad thing. Sometimes people need someone else to call bull rather than entertain their delusion to help them finally get over it and move on. Doesn't exactly help you make/keep friends though, but that's the small price paid for a mind free from having to worry about all that.
