I love the fundamental misunderstanding of how countries with socialized healthcare work. I saw someone on FB talking about how long people in Canada have to wait for an appointment. Meanwhile my wife was just trying to schedule a visit with her PCP last week and the initial response she got was:

One of the best things that happened to me as an adult was when I stopped being embarrassed by my interests.
Coworker: good morning team - does anyone have any plans late in the year like late november/december to take a week off or anything? want to know what weeks to avoid if I need to Me: I am likely to take a TBD determined day in November off but probably just a Friday, and maybe the following Monday, but that's it. This will be for a Pokemon game.

I decided, fuck it, I'm gonna get a question in.
Zoom Q&A box with the question: Where is the line? If there was an executive order signed today that any university that receives federal funding could no longer recognize Pride month, or black history month, or banned the use of pronouns in email signatures, etc, would the University kowtow to that or would they take a stand? The pronoun rule has already gone into effect for most government agencies, it's not implausible.
