I’ll never forget emailing him as a kid and actually getting a response. He’s an extraordinarily talented game developer (Hydro Thunder is one of my favorite arcade games), plus he’s a truly great guy.
I hope retirement is great and I hope he’s also open to pulling a Hayao Miyazaki, if he wants
