Family of 5 walking in a neighborhood in the Pacific NW.
9/18/25. Perfect temp but with the slight smell of wildfire smoke. 5/5 of us. It is September in the PNW.

O and M talked about school carpentry projects. Y and D branched off to throw the LED Frisbee. The rest of us got treated to a wild peacock sighting!

9/9/25: i'm done with the humidity! 5/5 of us. Y led us on a random walk through the neighborhood with a bit of compass toward/away from home coaching. He is learning <3.

So glad we have seemed to establish this habit of walking. I do believe it has changed how we show up for each other.

9/8/25: muggy with a small period of sprinkles. 4 / 5 of us. Wandered through a nearby canyon. M shared a story about chemistry class as we watched the clouds get darker overhead.

Glad for the energy the kids brought to this today because if they had argued against it, I would have caved.

9/7/25: plasant. All 5. The change in sunset time is becoming more obvious. It is before 8pm. The signal summer is over.

D & Y branched off to a park to toss frisbies. O & M walked with me farther through the neighborhood. They drive the conversations--Legos, 3D printing, etc.

warm. All 5 of us. Short, sweet. Nothing super remarkable. Like life, I guess. Some days are just days.

I will say that as the school/work week ends, it is more challenging to channel the energy to walk. But we did. No regrets.

muggy. All 5. Early, long. 1.25 hours? To the old house and north park. Not many people out in that thick air. No body outside on the old block. But so many houses with new coats of paint! Looking sharp....
