I wonder what was driving the conversion of Americans to isolationism and away from being world leaders; setting the example and protecting our smaller allies. Who is benefitting the most?

US spent a third of one percent of our budget to support a country that defended itself with their own people. We didn't build a government or create a military; it is country that was recognized by the world as independent, that voted to stay independent after getting free of the Soviet empire.

Not only are we abandoning our ally, Trump is trying to force Europe to do the same. He gave them 3 weeks to surrender.
So it isn't about us saving 1/3rd of 1 percent of our budget; its about making sure Putin gets the deal he agreed with Trump to get, without Ukraine's input.

Putin has Trump organizing "peace" talks that Ukraine didn't ask for. "Peace" means Trump can stop military aid to Ukraine for Putin. I wonder how long the "peace" will last, after Ukraine has been cut off from our support.
