Maybe some people, instead of complaining, should make sure that the Democrats win in 2026 as we have seen elections matter.

Basically what Mike Trout said, the GOP doesn't care about Americans so holding out longer wouldn't change anything like ACA premiums anyone thinking otherwise hasn't been paying attention although I understand the outrage as that was my emotion. My brain says this helps for 2026..

Sadly that would take a functioning competent Democratic party and a more advanced pollical culture in America, something that isn't happening any time soon.
There has been catastrophic long term damage to America and it might not be repairable.

It was always a stupid argument in the first place as doing the right thing is never about someone else doing it, it's about leadership or sadly the lack of leadership we have seen by too many governments on this file.

I dunno what to say, the market doesn't always do what we want, where we want it, I'm sure that that type of house is available somewhere though. Sometimes there are tradeoffs I want a house in a particular area but my wife doesn't so we won't be moving there..lol

That sounds like progress as a mix of different housing is ideal for different needs and different tastes.

So you are saying they could subdivide the lot, zoning allows this or that's what you want?
Also a 3-4k sq ft house on a 11k square foot lot isn't exactly a monstrosity.
Here if the lot is big enough people can build 6 units on a lot but it's not happening due to high costs for the most part.
