The other day, coming back from the gym, I got excited because I saw they’re putting in a new Kroger. Across the street from the old Kroger. I used to howl at the moon, bend a few laws, drink beer by the dozen. But the other day I was excited by a new grocery store. What happened to me?

If you made an inch of progress today, or if you made a mile, you made progress. This is something I have to remind myself all the time, when I only get a small amount of my goals accomplished. Don’t discount small amounts of forward momentum. They add up.

Today would have been Big John Buscema’s 97th birthday. He taught me to draw. Which doesn’t make me special. And I never met him in person sadly. But through How To Draw Comics the Marvel Way he reached many young people (like I once was) who just wanted to learn to draw comics.

Today would have been Big John Buscema’s 97th birthday. He taught me to draw. Which doesn’t make me special. And I never met him in person sadly. But through How To Draw Comics the Marvel Way he reached many young people (like I once was) who just wanted to learn to draw comics.
