Notable in that it was last full album by the Miles Davis "Second Great Quintet", & the beginning of the Miles Davis fusion era. Miles in the Sky ('68) Herbie Hancock & Ron Carter both played electric piano & bass. Wayne Shorter was Wayne, & Tony Williams was WOW!

Recorded in Paris, France, in the summer of 1985.
Recorded as the soundtrack to the outstanding jazz movie Round Midnight. Dexter Gordon deserved a prize. Yes, he essentially played himself. Did it damn well..Herbie Hancock with an incredible band & Bobby McFerrin - Vcl

Sweden native Ulf Wakenius one of the best on the scene . His name rings high in jazz circles, was member of Oscar Peterson's last quartet from 1997. He was also a member of the Ray Brown trio.

Like so many musicians, lack of sight does not affect their vision as evidenced by the virtuoso piano playing of Marcus Roberts. Originally part of the Wynton Marsalis group, his solo album As Serenity Approaches blew me away, as did his distinct use of left and right hands
