Why is the carpet all wet, Tod?

They’ve always been a performative organization virtue signaling whatever position is most advantageous in the moment. They’ve never, as an organization, actually ever *done* anything other than exploit their workers and enrich stockholders.

Hudson, not Holden.

Also Hudson has an H Line stop, so benefit there for a full signalization.

Full intersection at Alaska feels like signals are bunched on Delridge. Pushing back to Holden would space better and improve pedestrian access on Delridge, but I think more people would be inclined to want to cross at Alaska because of the sports fields.

The other thing I was thinking about with that intersection is installing a raised intersection. My thinking for that was primarily because of E/W traffic.

Diverting only at Holden (or the full signal at Alaska as you illustrated), and doing the raised intersection at Genesee might be enough

Raised median at Genesee to prevent through traffic (with a cut out for crosswalks + RRFB), and a diverter at Hudson further eliminating cut through traffic.

I’m starting to feel that way about bike/scooter share too. The other day there were three bikes parked in a row and completely obstructing the width of the trail. Like, that wasn’t done by happenstance or negligence.

Too many people out here prematurely celebrating like we can’t blow this. It’s not over until it’s over.

This is the “solution” to providing a redundant cycle track through the cruise ship terminal.

Since I’m coming from (basically) Genesee, I almost always take the Andover bridge and just cut north on the side streets if I need to get up to Admiral anymore, or go the long way up Avalon then up 36th Ave SW/Andover/38th/Charlestown/Walnut.

Yup. Not the greatest, I don’t do it with my kids for sure, but a couple times I would be running late for pickup and that’s the fastest way for me to Alki, and I can’t carry my cargo bike up the stairs. I definitely use the medians to my full advantage if I go that way.

SW Manning Street (it’s the road just north of Luna Park). Mind you, I’m not saying it’s safe or comfortable. (Orange)

Really the only other access is you have to climb the stairs from 30th Ave SW. (Blue)
