Starmer has a 3-figure majority. Surely this is a perfect opportunity to establish Citizens’ Assemblies? This is precisely the kind of issue that needs it. A few hours on Friday afternoon in Parliament really isn’t adequate (in my opinion).

Great interview. KL was passionate and compassionate…but she did not persuade, esp on coercion/burden. Rather than a few hours’ post-luncheon debate in HoC on a Friday, this is a perfect opportunity for Starmer to establish the principle of Citizens’ Assembly and get this issue trashed out properly.
