She was really big mid Seventies (I was there for that :-) ) but I didn't know all the background until I read Wiki. I remember "I am Woman" - monster hit, so was "Angie Baby." "Delta Dawn" too.

She was a pretty big deal in that mid Seventies time - on many talk & variety shows, won a Grammy. And how could I forget she was in Airport 75 as a singing nun (they parody it in "Airplane!") (thanks Wikipedia)

"Stayin' Alive" was in the trailer. I was a Bee Gees fan since 1976 then suddenly EVERYONE was. It was like the jump to light speed in Star Wars. I think this is maybe the 1st time a song from a movie was released 1st to build interest. I know I bought the soundtrack before the movie came out.

I'm just shocked they still reference Dick Clark - I would think they would drop the name, just like they started New Year's Rockin' Eve to counter Guy Lombardo on CBS. Although, wait, yeah, Ryan Seacrest's New Year's Rockin' Eve...I answered my own question!
