Scotland has long had a national police force. Does this produce better results than regional forces?

First past the post only works when there are two or maybe three likely winners. With more you risk a party with say twenty per cent of the votes cast winning. Not good with a low turnout.

I will not vote for a party that will not fully support the right for biological women to have their own spaces. Particularly in toilets, hospitals, prisons and sports.
Biological men, ie those with a penis, are generally much bigger and stronger and pose a perceived physical threat.

Do we need a new Politics in the UK? It seems Prime Ministers cannot survive the Social Media maelstrom for 4 or 5 years any more. Or is it that High Political Office is not attracting candidates of a high enough calibre now? Any comment welcome as I don't know.

My guess is that it is extreme gravitational lensing that prevents light escaping from a black hole and not the more popularly used term of escape velocity?
Apologies for being off subject or plain wrong as I am an old Engineer, not a physicist.

I thought the point about alternative energy was not that it was cheaper, but that it would assist in combatting adverse climate change

When you say "generative AI" do you include people who use it for queries as an alternative to Google and Duck Duck Go, or are you just aiming it at those who use it to compose things.

Is it a valid point that the most intelligent in the UK are more attracted to being leading bankers than being politicians who could try and lead us out of this mess? We need leaders of calibre here, not people worried about the next General Election.
As an example Sir Winston .

Elon Musk should build a craft that will travel one way to Venus. It must carry a minimum of four passengers. Payload not much because there is no steel amongst them.

Ed Miliband should at the least make public disquieting noises. He surely has sufficient status to do this.

There are two ways to see this. One is London centric expansion at the expense of the cancellation of northern HS2. The other is growth at the expense of the climate. Likely both. Disgraceful. Our political parties are letting us all down.
