The success of the Port of Morrow in north central Oregon was built on the backs of the local population. Wells in and around the County, and there are thousands, are poisoned with nitrates. As the ill gotten gains grew, self-dealing became the order of the day.

Harney County has seen wild swings of a changing climate: fire over nearly a million acres in the summer of 2024, then deep snowpack over the following winter and a persistent pattern of rainfall. The result has been serious flooding across that remote part of Oregon.
