The current sketchbook journeyed with me this past weekend to the annual Paperback Collectors' Show in Glendale (CA), where it's achieved a little notoriety over the years. Encountered many valued friends and colleagues, and filled a few more pages in the sketchbook in the process.

In this most insane, unplausible, and illogical of times, I'll take any moments of serenity where some semblance of rational good can still be found in the surrounding world. The music of the warmest jazz pianist who ever lived is one of those sources and enwraps my entire studio like a blanket.
