Further north in Torridge, the Water UK map shows the Shebbear sewage treatment works storm overflow started overflowing this morning.

Which hides the fact that the CSO has been overflowing into the River Torridge intermittently for several days.

Moving inland, Water UK's map shows that the Pyworthy sewage treatment works has been overflowing into Derrill Water and thence the River Tamar since January 20th.

Princetown sewage treatment works has been spilling into the Blackbrook River and thence the River Dart since February 4th.

Further east along the south coast of Devon the Torcross pumping station storm overflow has been pumping sewage into Start Bay since January 20th.

On the south coast of Devon, several overflows in Plymouth have been "spilling" sewage into the River Plym and thence affecting the "bathing beach" at Plymouth Hoe since January 21st.

Some of the "combined sewer overflows" shown on SWW's #WaterFitLive map of bathing beaches have been active for many days.

The infamous "poo pipe" at Woolacombe in North Devon has been on the go since January 26th. The nearby CSO at Croyde started at lunchtime today.
