@hankgreen.bsky.social Since sea level is so nebulous and inconsistent, why don't we measure altitude as a distance below some reference point in the atmosphere where air pressure reaches some threshold? Presumably, that would be more stable and relevant to air pressure at any given altitude, right?

@techconnectify.bsky.social what do you think about www.theverge.com/2024/12/19/2...? Is there any reason to believe it's not just going to decimate the energy efficiency? I'm having a hard time understanding how it can be so space-saving if they're still using a heat pump most of the time.
