just sucks. I want to provide for my family but I want to be able to be present for my daughter as well and I'm tired of feeling like I am not allowed to be present in my daughter's life working remotely because "that's just life". I just don't accept it.

It's crazy to see people go from one role to another that don't have any correlation or someone gets a senior role but that senior role was looking for years of experience that the person who got the job doesn't have. Yes, part of me is frustrated, annoyed, and bitchy. Being unemployed for months

There is no accountability. Personally, I believe that there needs to be some definition to the jobs that exist across companies. It's frustrating applying to a Systems Administrator at different companies and the job description is different almost every time. I have transferrable skills.

What is the most annoying is a Systems Administrator is so different depending on the company. Some companies try to call it a Systems Administrator but you're really a cloud engineer with extra responsibilities. Every company can have whatever they want to be defined as a Systems Administrator.

We shouldn't be in a society where people have to go months without work. I'm not asking for hand outs. I will work my ass off for a good opportunity. Now that my wife and I have a daughter a new born. My perspective has changed. I'm learning how to be a father and a better husband.

CompTIA Sec+ 701. The rest were Microsoft, AWS, and Terraform certs. All fundamentals, yes, but it shows I dedicated time to study and learn. What bothers me is how unnecessarily ambiguous knowing what is needed can be. There is no one exact way. It's about luck and who you know.
