Received a court document that shows a current DHS official telling a Michigan court that the termination of a SEVIS [Student and Exchange Visitor Information System] record does not automatically mean somebody's visa has been revoked.

Only the state department can revoke a visa, per the official.

I've been following the termination of international student visas in Alaska, and was sent a copy of a visa revocation letter last night. We'll have a story later today on one of the four University of Alaska students who's seen his credentials revoked, "without prior notice."

The Anchorage Assembly was treated to a performance from the West Anchorage High School production of Hadestown during their meeting this evening.

The cast was honored with a resolution, and will be performing an encore at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday.

The University of Alaska's Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program has (seemingly) scrubbed most instances of "Alaska Native" on its website. This coincides with the UA Board of Regents voting to get rid of DEI-related language.
