It’s a total pain. I have three separate phones set to three different countries. One is just to run my continuous glucose monitor which is keyed to a single country even though it is available globally.

Yep. It’s that way in Scandinavia and all the EU countries I’ve visited. I still occasionally slip up when giving directions and tell people I’m on the wrong floor.

I taught sociology of gender at TAMU about 15 years ago. I had some conservative students but I’m guessing the more difficult ones self-selected into Texas history (where they were unpleasantly surprised) or just silently grumbled. I worry about my remaining colleagues.
