lol oh no, a guy who paints miniatures is calling me a dweeb. Whatever will I do? And that's NYT bestselling illiterate dweeb to you, good sir.

Midterms are in Nov 2026, dude. Remember, abstaining to vote is like voting for Trump. 😜
November 16, 2025 at 10:51 PM
The original post was about leaving maga. Man, i think we're done here. Good luck with you in whatever you want to do.

And please consider voting. I'll even help you register if you want.
November 16, 2025 at 10:43 PM
Please link where I said I wanted MTG in my party. Not yours bc you don't vote, so why are you in these conversations?
November 16, 2025 at 10:41 PM
LOL so you're here for the complaining but not for actual change.

Grats on owning yourself. Why are you even in these conversations?
November 16, 2025 at 10:36 PM
You really have zero sense of humor, miniature painter. Go smell some flowers.

Voting is a chess move, not a Valentine.
November 16, 2025 at 10:33 PM
I do, much to my parents' chagrin. I hope you grow up one day from being a miniature painter to a regular sized one.
November 16, 2025 at 10:23 PM
Okay. Good day then. Bc we’re obviously reading different post. Nowhere did I say try to win Repubican votes.

Congrats, you won an internet argument.
November 16, 2025 at 10:16 PM
Sigh. That’s not the point of the post, but you do you.
November 16, 2025 at 10:12 PM
Ok, then don’t.

I don’t think saying, “good on them for leaving maga” gives them any comfort, but okay. There are also certainly many in maga who aren’t awful ppl who may have had their eyes opened.
November 16, 2025 at 10:09 PM
No one is asking you to. You’re conflating acknowledging that they did a good thing “leaving MAGA” by having to become their friend.
November 16, 2025 at 10:02 PM
I think cornering and humiliating people is not a good idea, even if deserved, even if it makes us feel better.

After WW1, the world punished Germany, which led to the rise of the Third Reich. This is why after WW2, the US led Japanese reconstruction.

Give people a way out.
November 16, 2025 at 9:54 PM
Bc his vote for a non-maga candidate might help elect a candidate who will help protect immigrants?
November 16, 2025 at 9:51 PM
At the end of the day, we’re on the same side and want the same things. But importantly, it’s all about the votes, and i will accept as many votes to support healthcare, voting rights, abortion, as I can find.
November 16, 2025 at 9:48 PM
I think we’re not talking about the same things.

I assume that many leaving maga do so for different reasons. Maybe for some they’re not racist enough, or maybe some ppl are finally opening their eyes.

If we blanket disregard everyone who do so, and attack them anyway…they might go back to maga.
November 16, 2025 at 9:47 PM
You take the victory you can get against the enemy in front of you. If their decision helps progressive causes, then i acknowledge that. I’m not trying to imply anything else.

And there’s a good chance many leaving maga finally open their eyes. Cornering them serves no one.
November 16, 2025 at 9:45 PM
The OP’s post is if people leave maga, fuck them anyway bc of these reasons…

All I’m saying is, if ppl leave maga, good. Full stop. Their acknowledgment and “enforcing” is “good job for leaving maga.”
November 16, 2025 at 9:42 PM
I 100% agree with you. That’s literally the crux of my point.
November 16, 2025 at 9:41 PM
My point is, if someone is leaving MAGA, that’s a good thing. That’s it.

I did not say anything about embracing them or welcoming them to the big tent.

You left MAGA? Good.
November 16, 2025 at 9:39 PM
Where did I say I think her behavior will change? All I said was, if someone votes or supports an important issue, we recognize it.

I’m not declaring that she’s rehabilitated or whatever. She’s not going to change bc if someone else. That’s something she had to do on her own.
November 16, 2025 at 9:38 PM
Am I inviting him to dinner? All I’m saying is David Duke at least is on the side of right for an important issue.

This is literally my entire point. Recognize the good point. That’s it.
November 16, 2025 at 9:36 PM
Emma, that’s all my point is. I’m not saying welcoming them to the tent.

If MTG wants to take on Trump, I acknowledge her position w/o donating to her campaign. If the Proud Boys want to support women’s choice, then I acknowledge that. Doesn’t mean I’m going to join them…
November 16, 2025 at 9:35 PM
That’s not the example. I’m not trying to win their votes, but if they do support an important cause (I keep using MTG) then we should acknowledge it.
November 16, 2025 at 9:31 PM
So you’re saying you’d rather MTG not call out Trump than to support her decision on the Epstein files?

I’m not saying sign up to join the Proud Boys or whatever extreme position, but when my 6yr old does something i want him to do, I’m not going to yell at him for doing the right thing/
November 16, 2025 at 9:30 PM
If they bring the votes to save healthcare and abortion? Sure.

No one is telling you to get in bed with them, but screaming at them for voting with you?

I may hate MTG but I appreciate her positions right now.
November 16, 2025 at 9:27 PM
This is silly and an useless purity test.

If someone does what you want/need them to do, then you reinforce it, not punish them.

Bottom line, we need as much support as possible.
