In the 8 months that I've had my base-spec Mac mini M4, I have never once heard the fans kick on until today, and it took Gemma in Ollama, Premiere Pro, and an iMazing backup all running at the *same time* on the *macOS 26 beta* to elicit even the faintest whisper.

Explicitly because of the ChatGPT-em dash controversy have I now learned the differences between and proper usage of—not only hyphens, en dashes, and em dashes, but interpuncts, pilcrows, and daggers. I will now use all of these properly in my writing. AI is spreading its ways, I suppose...

I'm writing a [school] speech on @bsky.app and may have fallen too far done the @atproto.com rabbit hole . . . I don't think my very non-techie audience is going to want to hear about PDSs and Lexicon and also the entire history of tech protocols. 🙈
