No problem. But I kinda see your point too, personally I'm really easy to DNF books and just pretend they never existed, one star for me it's more in a extreme case where just the little I read is enough for me to read it full just so I can grasp how bad this could be and put it out on reviews.

So yes, I do believe that a one star review is warranted, since just ignoring means even more misinformation being spread about Palmares. But also despite that, her other works are actually very good and this was just her bitting more than she could chew and unintentionally harming our community.

Basically ignored our own oral traditions and ancestors knowledge about Palmares, erasing the figure of our Black Queen Dandara and replacing her for a white woman, and had a bunch of non-brazilians praising the book for being "realistic and teaching them so much about black culture in Brazil" +

Also, even disliking one book from a writer doesn't mean disliking their whole career, I might give a one star review to a book but also read something else from them that it's more my vibe and give a five. But I will not give that chance if fandom or the writer tries to shame me for my review.
