Immediately after his verbal genuflection, Duffy tries to guild the lily by saying the new administration is made up of "the best and the brightest."

We're doomed.
Sean Duffy: "I would just note, the president's leadership has been remarkable during this crisis."

The Danes are our allies. They were a founding member of NATO and we've had uninterrupted diplomatic relations with them since 1801. We should not be be seeking to steal their land nor should we be threatening them. Nothing good will come of it.

"As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honor is not seemly for a fool." Proverbs 26:1

Fools are not a new problem in human society. The Bible is full of warnings about fools. It mentions fools 360 times - not to follow them, believe them, deal with them etc. It never works out. Just sayin'.

Not a good sign when your country's elite build doomsday bunkers for the world they're creating. On the plus side: it'll make a great post-apocalyptic loot drop.

After Tuesday, you will still be in control of deciding to live an ethical life. Honesty, respect, compassion, generosity, and humility will remain available choices for individuals.

That the DoD nominee didn't know what ASEAN was until yesterday is more concerning than his personal vices. How do you graduate from Princeton and Harvard, serve overseas as an Army officer and not know this?

If you're a man who drinks three gin and tonics for breakfast, the only thing you should be in charge of is your own personal cigarette stash at a rehab clinic, not the Department of Defense.

As a real estate developer, the incoming President will find getting his hands on the Palisades' redevelopment irresistible, especially in light of the olympics in three years.

I don't know why I need to say this, but, if you put people in charge who like to lie, cheat, and steal, you're going to have problems.

The fires in LA are horrific and unlike anything we've experienced before as they can spread anywhere. We haven't had a real rain since May and winds are gusting at 80mph. Thankfully our firefighters are doing all they can to mitigate this dangerous situation - we owe them our thanks and an...

If I were an American ally for the last 50 years observing what passes for geopolitics among the incoming administration and wanted to remain independent, I'd start building nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them.

Reading the manifesto and the UFO email from the Green Beret who blew up the Cybertruck in Vegas tells me his brain got melted by online disinformation combined with PTSD. Some Ivan at the Internet Research Agency in St. Petersburg probably got a voucher to the Russian version of Red Lobster for it.

People are drawing the wrong conclusions about the New Years attacks In Las Vegas and New Orleans being carried out by Trump supporting vets who were stationed at Bragg at the same time. Vets are targeted for radicalization online by foreign intel services and terror networks.

Hope everyone has a great New Year's Eve. The coming year is likely to be difficult for many more people. Be strong. Be compassionate. Do good.

One of the more pathetic aspects of life in modern America is that we're led by men who need money in order to get laid.

Real men age. They don't do plugs, rugs, drugs, or inject shit into their face to appear younger. I realize that may not be the prevalent opinion in our plastic-soaked world. Who you are inside is more important than what strangers think of your outward appearance. Be yourself.

Lots of marketing messages out there to embrace darkness beyond a vampire movie. The online world is currently driven by the algorithmic siren's call for anger, mistrust, hatred, division, racism, selfishness, and thoughtlessness. Please resist it. We need each other. Stay human.

The shit-talking come January 21st will far outweigh the actual policies or goals. Tune out the noise and grandiose nonsense. Build real world solidarity. Join clubs, groups and other civil society orgs that rely on active, participating membership more than donations.

There's likely to be quite a bit of fear and suffering directed from the top down in the years ahead. Don't give in to it. All things pass. Remain cognizant. Practice kindness. Practice charity. Practice mercy. Practice forgiveness. Stay human.

You are living through the annihilation of human rights and human freedom by algorithm.

Human creativity matters. Art inspires. Art communicates what's deep inside us. Art bonds us together through shared hopes, dreams and fears. Humans have a soul, humans experience life: machines do not. Fuck Spotify and fuck AI generated music.

“First of all, I’d say calm down, there’s no evidence of anything nefarious here. We never say never, but … take a breath.” New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy to his state, which has been whipped into panic by blue check accounts and assorted morons. Get ahold of yourselves. It's fucking embarrassing.

Fear is the fertile soil in which dictatorships grow. Why any of you are surprised that the media organizations which have been pumping you full of fear for decades would kiss the ring is beyond me. Fear is their stock and trade because fear transfixes and shuts off your ability to think clearly.
