Can we bring DEI back yet?

Bringing manufacturing back to America is a great idea, but without proper training for workers we will need to continue importing talent from other countries. I'm open to making the math work here, but as hard as I try I just don't see it, even looking a few steps down the road.

I know this is old news by now, but if we know which building to bomb because we're watching a bad guy go into it in real time, can we figure out a way to get him BEFORE he goes into the building full of civilians? Like is that something we can work on instead of colonizing Mars? #wwjd?

Anyone who thinks there's more autism now than there used to be hasn't spent enough time with the ham radio community.

Libraries are vital, providing access to information, technology, and learning. Cutting IMLS funding threatens these services, especially in underserved areas. Library funding isn’t political—it’s an investment in education, opportunity, and civic engagement. #LibraryLove #ForOurLibraries ala.org

A shutdown is necessary to preserve and protect our democracy. We can not sustain this oligarch's slash & burn strategy.
They have taken food away from children, stripped jobs from families & have taken direct aim at your social security. We must draw a hard line and hold it.

Dear Senators,

Do not hand over our democracy because you are afraid of owning the shutdown. We will remember if you sell us out. We will support you if you support us.

Hi, just a reminder that when you use Libro.fm for your audiobooks, you support independent bookshops vs. large corporations that drive them out of business.

We also pay taxes. And so do indie bookshops.

Farmers markets are another great way to connect with our local community. "Projects for Public Spaces found that people who buy food at the farmers’ market have 10 times more conversations than they would have at a supermarket." www.generalcode.com/blog/farmers...

I find that a lot of people don't realize that their smart TV has a coaxial input and can get basic live channels using a cheap antenna (I found mine in the garbage and have even used an old VHF antenna successfully in NYC). Don't pay for what's freely radiating through the airwaves! #nfl #grammys

Library tip: need a place to study? To hang out? To rest? Visit your local library. Libraries are one of the few true third spaces left where you aren't expected to spend money while there. Enjoy some quiet time surrounded by books and community. #booksky 📚💙 #libsky

I learned from "What If We Get It Right" that Dr. George Washington Carver credited his wealth of ideas to walking into the woods and receiving broadcasts from nature. I believe this is still possible!

Let your local library be a shelter from the storm. These are my current recommendations for dreaming of a better future.
