It definitely has a US bias. I’d also argue it has a Gen Con bias, followed closely by an Essen bias. You don’t hear a ton about Origins, PAX Unplugged, or UKGE there.

Is there a breakdown for digital versus POD? Didn’t they recently bump the POD prices at DriveThru?

Can these be used as overlays for the tiles in Hex Kit?

Endeavor is excellent, it has a great build and the choices are always interesting.

A lot of folks are recommending rules and such, I’ll recommend two PDFs that focus on methods and philosophies (don’t run away!)

Great review. I want to play it, but I also don’t think it would quite fit into my life at the moment and your review helped me balance those two competing pulls. That being said, I’ll watch out for a reprint in case one ever materializes.

I'm so happy to hear it. Let it be known that there are folks following you that would love to subscribe so you have a consistent income stream. I'm a big fan of @senetmagazine.bsky.social and a happy subscriber. I'd love to be able to do the same with you, even if that's 1-2 magazines a year.

That's a great use of time just stuck in the car. Also, love the case in the background, what is it?

We put this one on our 10x10 challenge. I enjoy the simplicity and the interactive play.

I've been curious about this one and the Shinjuku messenger bag too.

Any plans for The Game Changers to come out in ebook format (and purchasable in the US)?

RPGs are worth it, but I can only muster so much effort to make them work.

RPGs on the other hand are far more calculated. I want to ensure the people are consistent enough for a few sessions. I have to pick a system I can teach and am interested in. I have to pick a system people will actually play. I have to plan out an adventure. I have to schedule the sessions.

There was a post on Reddit asking something I'm not quite answering here, but in my head the question is: why is playing board games easier than playing RPGs? Because I can invite any of my friends over to play a board game and find something.

Why did the "mainstreamification" of RPGs take such a different turn than it did for board games?

I’m not 100% sold on it yet and frankly it’s mostly a containment system for the games I run at home, but serves me well enough for now.

I wouldn’t use it in a game with miniatures.

I have one of Rollacrit’s Bags of Holding and I can fit a good amount of stuff in there: a small box of tokens, 3 books of Loke Battlemats, an accordion folder for different games, pens/wet erase markers, cards, and my dice. It also has a place for an iPad or laptop. It gets heavy but holds a lot.

Of note, I remember at some point building empathy for Glotka and maybe that was the turning point for me. That even this horrible person is somewhat human was a sign the book was special.

It's been a while, but I remember it being so completely different from what I had been reading. Maybe it hit at a time of over-optimism. Or maybe it was just novel. I'm not sure.

I'd encourage you to keep reading it if you haven't set it aside already. If you have, pick it up in a year or so.
