Going through an old comic last weekend, was surprised to see that Mary Jane has a bit of a giantess kink. The stuff you never notice as a kid.

Of all the canceled Star Wars spinoffs, this one hurt the most.

Ed Brubaker and @seanphillips.bsky.social haven't done many comics with super-powered people in them, but the ones they have done have been pretty damn good!

This hurts so much. Peter David wrote so many great novels and comics that I read for decades. Below are some of my favorites but I can think of so many more. He was having health issues for the past several years, I'm glad he isn't suffering anymore. RIP.

Ever since watching They Live By Night back in November, I've been wanting to watch Side Street. Luckily, the fine folks at Warner Archive are putting it out very soon!

I finally got to read the Star Trek: Picard novel Firewall by @davidmack.bsky.social. It was great! Gave a compelling backstory for Seven and expanded upon the politics around the Romulan Supernova incident. Good stuff, and I can't wait to read his Strange New Worlds novel later this year!

With Anora winning Oscar's, films about sex workers have been in conversation lately. Adding to that, Gate of Flesh (1964) is getting a limited edition blu ray release in May! This is a great film that deserves more attention!

Mars Express (2023) is a fantastic science fiction animated film! I can see people comparing this to Ghost in the Shell or Bladerunner, but it creates its own world, has solid characters, and some big ideas. It's not a knockoff and stands proudly on its own. Great stuff!

I have a feeling that the onscreen Guy Gardner is going to be patterned after the Justice League International version of the character. Which is probably the right call.
