It was the plan developed by Republicans to counter Medicare for all, an even more sensible plan. When the right-leaning Obama administration adopted it instead, the Rs said no, no, no because it was Obama, not because it was their own plan they were repudiating.

The Dems had control of everything several times and didn't even increase the minimum wage. When they did address health care, they enacted the Republican plan (Obamacare).

I moved to Washington DC in 1979 and your post echoes what every corporate Dem has said at least since Ronald Reagan. Keeping the democracy safe for the autocrats is all it's been while allowing corporate media to hoodwink the populace to keep electing people who oppress the working class.

We're not seeing it in Washington DC. Outrageous. Like in the old days when affiliates wouldn't air mixed race programs.

Still largely the case. Bezos worth hundreds of billions on the backs of workers who barely get by even with Federal food benefits and Medicaid. Where are the workers in that, or consumers rights? It's not even capitalism; it's a system based on massive fraud.

Not everyone has a home freezer. Lots don't. Canned fruit and vegetables are a much older and respected way of preserving food. Greed took it down just when we're going to need to have long-term preserved food on our shelves. Buckle up!
