Mostly posts about SA women's cricket. No, not the Saudi Arabian, San Antonian, South Australian or System Admin kind of SA.
Shit load of changes:

Bosch dropped

Brits only for the ODI's

Kapp, Klaas, Khaka, de Klerk, Tryon and Dercksen only for the T20i's

Maiden call-up for Leah Jones

Goodall, Hlubi, Marx, Naidu, Tunnicliffe and van Niekerk return to the national team.

Exact same article can be found on the Big Bash app; seems it was written by Scott Bailey, who works for the Australian Associated Press.

Given the amount of matches she's played for SA Emerging this year, I wouldn't rule out Luyanda Nzuza getting selected and replacing Nondumiso Shangase.

My preferred replacements:

Khaka → Hlubi
Kapp → Marx or Reyneke
de Klerk → Jones or Tucker
Bosch → Tunnicliffe or Miané Smit

If needed: Wolvaardt → van Niekerk

Marx and Jones would be the options if they want to keep pace options, while spinners Reyneke and Tucker would add more batting value.

Looking at the squad that was at the world cup, I imagine we'll see the following changes:

de Klerk, Kapp and Khaka rested.
Bosch dropped.

Unsure regarding Wolvaardt. I wouldn't be surprised if she stays on at the WBBL and Tryon is given the captaincy for the tour.

On the plus side: this Halo experiment will likely inspire other people to create their (hopefully better) version of this.

And when it comes to an alternative view on cricket, there's always Daisy Cutter.

Given the levels of fandom and hero worshipping we see in sport, it sometimes gets way taken too serious.

The lighthearted, alternative view Sky Sports Halo was aiming for, could have helped to break down all that seriousness, if they could have executed it right.

Also, the execution was so bad, that not even the super small subset would find the content enjoyable.

Could they have approached this kind of idea better? Probably not, companies tend to suck at being silly/quirky; there's many other examples of that being the case.

And Sky Sports need to attract new viewers, same goes for most traditional broadcasters.

But the way they tried to do it, is so questionable. Going for pink text, macha, and some other references I don't get, means they're not only focusing on half the population, but a super small subset of it.

Badgers won by 44 runs.

Mignon du Preez 55(59)

Zintle Kula and Nicolien JvR with 3 wickets each.

WP end on 241/9.

Dané van Niekerk top scored with 81(89).

List A best for Leah Jones, 43(56).

Impressive slog at the end by 16 year old Miya Lalor, getting 30(26).

Two wickets each for Hlubi, Mali and Candler.

Last weekend for a few players to impress, with the Proteas squad probably being announced next week.

Looking ahead, it will be interesting to see how Mashimbyi will approach this summer.

Probably the ideal time to bring in a few new players, and, if possible, find a batting order that makes sense (although it's a bit out of his hands).
