Right?! Orlikow's take "They’re very excited about it (at) McDonald’s. It will be the third one in North America.” why is that important? does he own their stock?? Amongst other probs, it reduces walkability for all the ppl living near that grocery store; guess he doesn't care about that.

Also the "his bike collided with a car" is BS and infuriating. More like Driver made an inattentive and unsafe turn, ignored RoW and seriously injured a child.

They're so awful. Sitting at the Common last night was mostly pleasant, but it kept being disrupted by very loud motorbike noise from Main; they were repeatedly ripping over the bridge.

I used to cross there almost daily when I lived right next to it. That was 16+ years ago and I never stepped off until all cars were stopped (not blaming the ped you saw for not doing so). Sad to hear it's still bad. Does it have lights now?

Same when Ellice was redone years ago, and west of about Beverley St, there are rarely cars parked on it. Such a failure of vision to rebuild it the same as it was.

It's astounding that they're not paid for those hours, and it sure seems gendered; I'm pretty sure firefighters get paid while they are at stations, not just while in a firetruck/actively at a call.

Yeah; you can't even buy a ~750 sq ft house on a smaller West End lot for under $200k now, unless it's dilapidated and blocks east of Arlington, let alone one in OSV on a bigger lot.
