Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara: "People have had enough. This is the third shooting in less than 3 weeks. The MPD went the entire year last year recovering about 900 guns from the street, arresting hundreds of violent offenders, and we didn't shoot anyone ... this is not sustainable."

Governments have never been a reliable source about their own conduct. That’s the exact reason why the press is so important - they are supposed to question the government at every turn and be inherently suspicious of it, bordering on antagonistic. But the press has rarely ever functioned that way.
