my SNAP is about $100 a month, it doesnt go far with myself and my husband, but it is still so much better than nothing. its about 1/2 a grocery trip. he is disabled, I work fulltime and make ~20k a year. most of it goes to our 1650 a month rent. times are really hard.

one of my favorite food purchases as a poor person who loves Italian food is a live basil plant! it was $3 at winco, and even when used quite a lot, lasted me and my husband over a year before it needed to be retired. we just got a new one and having fresh basil amidst more canned stuff helps a ton!

oh yeah no its great if you do live in an area with options for it! when i lived near Baltimore I used it pretty often and the options were almost always really good!

we dont even have 7/11. the closest place to me is 2.5 hours away unfortunately.
