You’ve added some weird non-existent country off the bottom right corner of South America.

I don’t think you need to justify wanting a large dog off a lead to leave you alone. Sounds like you were pretty restrained - at least more so than I’d have been.

LinkedIn is full of cunts going “most of these MPs have never run a business and it shows.” Yeah, and you’ve never run a department of a university or a hospital. What’s your point? It’s good to have multiple skills in parliament, not just people who have made a few quid selling garage doors.

Point being, you can’t just barrel into a place like this and start going “well in the private sector you’d just do this, what’s wrong with you” because it’s completely different. Good to have my prejudices against cunts like Alan Sugar and Jim Radcliffe confirmed.

A handful of kids went back on 1 June (three school years out of 14) - the vast majority were excluded until the beginning of September.

And, as well as being "fantastic communicable disease vectors" they're also, you know, human beings.

“As soon as they did”? They were off for six months. It did all sorts of harm.

Oh ok. With you, sorry.
December 8, 2025 at 8:17 PM
I’m sorry that’s crap. The problem with lockdown was years of underinvestment in the NHS and a complete absence of planning, not people who didn’t like being yelled at for sitting on a bench or having their kids kicked out of school for months on end.

Fatigue? Nervousness at the CB pairing?

As I recall it was in a meeting of economists.

He’d have made a great number 9 in the 90s or the early Barclays era, but the position is too disciplined and self-sacrificing now.

Hence, nobody was allowed to do perfectly safe stuff outdoors (like parkruns, organised sport or even take their kids to playgrounds) because it would "set the wrong tone" - the plebs won't understand complexity.

A lot of this can be traced to when Gordon Brown made a reference to "endogenous growth theory" in the mid 00s and it was used as evidence as to how out of touch he was.

Holy hell the replies to this are some of the wrongest opinions on the internet.

Hay fever sufferers complaining whenever the weather is nice grind my gears particularly. Oh, you sneeze a lot for a few weeks do you? Take some antihistamine and leave me alone, the freezing darkness will be back before you know it.

It’s hardly a fairytale given the amount of money spent and the whole Partey affair, but it’s hugely impressive nonetheless.
