I agree, but it’s not that simple. Crypto is decentralized, which makes it hard for financial services or governments to block. That’s part of its appeal, but the idea of it being "secure" is oversold. For most people, crypto comes with serious risks—scams, theft, and zero consumer protections. /1
Just read a BBC article about a crypto bro that referred to crypto as a "a digital currency....offering the potential of very secure decentralised transactions"
And we have seriously got to stop doing this. Crypto is not "secure" in any way that matters to a general audience.

Time in the market > timing the market. Yet, young people blow $1,000 on scam courses to learn how to day trade with x100 leverage, probably with their family’s retirement fund. It rarely ends well.
