There was a Peggy Bedford pub on the Colnbrook bypass in Middlesex UK which is now a MacDonalds, but the original 16th century Grade II listed pub is still in Longford village, but few know of its fascinating history: www.wendytibbitts.info/the-highwaym...

Longford is on the edge of one of the worlds busiest airports. It is threatened with demolition if Heathrow Airport expands.
This book describes the fascinating history and events that this village witnessed. Kings, Queens, rogues and paupers passed through this village. www.wendytibbitts.info
