Despicable that Iceland’s caretaker government has cynically pushed through granting a 5 year whaling licence before the new anticipated coalition government takes power. Whaling goes against morality, conservation, public opinion and Iceland’s own animal welfare law. The killing must end. 🐋

One of the most depressing issues I work on at Humane Society International is the Gadhimai animal sacrifice festival in Nepal. 10s of 1000s of animals beheaded in front of each other. My HSI India colleagues are preparing to deploy to the Indo-Nepal border to save as many as possible. No words.

Safe at last. Today HSI’s animal rescue team saved 16 dogs from a dog meat restaurant in Dong Nai, Vietnam that we are helping transform to a paint + gas cylinder store. Ending the #dogmeattrade is better for human health & animal welfare.

Excited that tomorrow our charity Humane Society International will be rescuing dogs from a #dogmeat restaurant & slaughterhouse in Vietnam. With our support, the owner is switching to selling paint & gas cylinders!
