The worst thing is that it hurt my kids (now adults).
In my experience (my husband and I have been burned by quite a few ministry leaders during his ministry career) they REALLY do not care as long as it doesn’t affect them. Many are all about power, prestige, and money. We almost quit church, but fortunately we found a place we can attend.
