So how do you do Brexit “ properly” - what makes a proper Brexit different to what we’ve got already? Is it being totally supine to Trump? If he says jump some more , we say how how much higher would you like ?

Can’t understand how voters don’t realise what Reform
want to do. Biggest one is replace the NHS with insurance based health care. Rumours they want to means test the state pension which they see as a benefit not something people have paid in for. Bring back the death penalty &change abortion laws.

They didnt want social mobility. Stopped Erasamus. Didnt want well educated kids (unless their own or their mates).No more interaction with Europe. Keep the peasants in the village was the attitude.Graduate job market shrunk, any suitable job totally oversubscribed. Why would you stay here?

My son went to Uni as a mature student in 2024 on a 4 yr course.
1st 2 years all lectures were on video. He came out with a decent degree and £72k debt plus int. He will never pay it off. Enable your best and brightest and then cripple them with debt. Pretty good system isn’t it ? Not impressed.

My son who finished Uni 2024 after 4 years went during Covid. His 1st 2 years all the lectures were on video. He has a loan in excess of £70k+ interest. He expects to be paying it all his working life. He didn’t get the best uni experience. Not impressed

I never understood why we did that . It’s madness. Why is this being outsourced beyond the UK when our relationship with the US had become so rocky?

Farage is wily- he scents which way the political wind is blowing and moves fast. He drops (or mutes) topics that don’t gain him traction- but they aren’t necessarily totally gone. It depends on where the best backing is coming from as to which way he goes. Under him UK will be sold out to US.

Do we know where it will take place - in the actual HoC or in the hall down the road that they often use for these petitioned debates? If it’s in the hall is anybody from govt attending ?

Actually “ the country” didn’t vote to leave the EU. 17m people did. 16m didn’t. But as there was a small majority for leaving we left .

I stopped about 3/4 years ago after the dictat from on high that Brexit was only to be discussed re its implementation. As 1 of 16m who voted Remain and who were totally ignored I did not appreciate being muted .After 40 years I used the off button. Don’t watch BBC News at all now. Don’t miss it.
