Me on disappointing dog movies in the first edition of The Observer under the new ownership.

I saw a lot of excellent things in Copenhagen during a flying visit to CPH:Dox (reviews to follow). But my favourite non-film discovery was the stage door of the Royal Danish Theatre, which shows what looks like an orgy in bronze relief.

At the opening of CPH:DOX and we have been handed watermelon cards to hold up during the prime minister’s address as a silent protest for a ceasefire in Palestine. Nicely done, Copenhagen.

Just rewatched Santosh - such a satisfying, sinewy police procedural and complex character study. It's astonishing that this film - the UK's submission to the international Oscar category - is still, to my knowledge, without UK distribution.
