I woke up with this image of a counter ICE brigade called the "Hush Puppies" - that wear masks and simply show up anywhere that ICE does in silent witness - OR that shows up in neighborhoods to bring support and aide to those who might be targeted. Any other ideas?

So, Trump pardoned Paul Walczak, meaning that all of his victims will no longer get repaid the money he stole from them. Can they now sue Trump for the harm he is causing them through this pardon? Serious question.

The disrespectful, smug, uninformed shouting match that just took place in the Oval Office makes me want to explode. I’m so sorry to President Zelenskyy and the people of Ukraine for this ugly display. I just hate this administration. They are awful, awful human beings.

My least favorite word of this past decade is - “concerning.” Whenever someone characterizes something as “concerning,” I know that we are WAY past the concerned phase and already deeply into freaked out.

Tonight, I’m just feeling so sad for the people who are being fired from their jobs for no reason - losing their financial security, their social/work relationships, and the context for using their skills and knowledge in the way they had chosen. It’s awful.

I can tell I’m in an information bubble. I follow a LOT of people, and every one of them posts about the horrible thing of the day and then says - Why is no one talking about this? - when, on my feed - EVERYONE is talking about this.

A reality that I’ve not heard anyone discuss yet is how we address a coup that is happening on a cyber level. While traditional forms of protest still have value, this is a takeover happening via hacking and coding and stealing/shuffling data. Most of us can’t even remember our passwords…

Is there any way to lean on/pressure “mainstream” media into actually doing their job and reporting the reality of what’s happening? Or is ditching them the only option (which is what most of us here have done.)
