Watched some modeling tutorials today and tried to apply the lessons in creating a simpler version of a work by Ryszard Klimczewski (www.artstation.com/artwork/LO88K)

Took on r/Daily3D's "Gun" prompt for today as well as trying to model from a cube with Subdivision Modifier.

Followed the low poly character tutorial by

It took me literally 5 hours to replicate a 20-minute workflow, but I learned a ton!

Didn't have much time today, so this one was in a bit of a hurry

Not happy with how the flame turned out, but the wax seems to have worked out, somewhat

Also tried a different lighting technique. Maybe this wasn't the best subject for it, so I'll try it again soon #b3d

I'm happy to announce that PBR textures are now a friend 🤗

Yesterday I probably watched about an hour or so of tutorials just focused on texturing, then did some practice, modeled that bread model and now, finally, this one!

I FINALLY feel like I did a decent job with textures. Hurray! #b3d

Spent some time with procedural texturing tutorials today and came out making this little bread!

Used some light sculpting and shading techniques while doing this one, so it feels like I got some good practice

Well, now I'm deathly afraid of doing any sculpting or texturing, because everything is going fine until I mess with those things

Then I learned this PC can handle only so much :(

Tried a better lighting setup as well as rendering in Cycles for this one and it turns out this secondary PC of mine couldn't handle either that great, but oh well

Still learned a fair bit about materials!
