my next door neighbors are Wild season ticket holders but they're the only people i've regularly interacted with in over half a decade of living here with any strong feelings on the wild. granted, i live in minneapolis, not saint paul

hockey in minnesota exists in a universe separate from every other sport, and the NHL is consistently the brand of hockey that draws the least casual interest here because of norm green. college hockey is more popular. high school hockey is way more popular

getting a pregame ceremony after being inducted to the hall of fame probably doesn't sound that wild but he was just inducted to the *twins* hall of fame in a nearly identical ceremony last year and he's gonna get another nearly identical ceremony for the statue next year. it's mauer 24/7 up here.
