If NATO didn't exist Ukraine wouldn't be currently in the process of being riddled with bullets by the Russians as a human shield for NATO.
Europe was literally plugged into their pipelines.
They were a power because of their population size and because we know they human wave in war.
Russia would crush eastern Europe as it stands without NATO or if Turkey doesn't help.
