The question I always have in my mind, regarding this issue is, can a military person be "fired/demoted" for refusing to follow an illegal order?

Nope. I'm exhausted waiting for some Republicans in congress and conservatives on the Supreme court to grow a pair and do their the job they are being paid to do. They don't work for the Heritage Foundation and/or Billionaires they work for the American people.
