❤️ replayed thru shenmue 1 on dc recently and it is truly an amazing one-of-a-kind game - janky and impressive and weird and hilarious for all the right/wrong reasons. love how it slows the player down
BAFTA just listed the most influential game of all-time, and it's Shenmue.
And... I agree. Shenmue literally changed gaming and paved the way for so many styles and genres to grow out of.
Without Shenmue, we wouldn't have SO MANY beloved franchises that took inspiration from its groundwork.
