Hopefully boycotts, demonstrations, strikes, and political leveraging can avoid a potentially very dark future for this country. You can bet that the wolves are salivating at the fence just waiting for us to take ourselves down.

Some, I suspect, would welcome a deputized, vigilante militia meting out justice as they see fit, ala Elon Musk's Doge style. I want to believe that the majority of Americans don't want violent conflict coming to their doorstep. It's hard to see a reasonable resolution given the current spiral.
