If you're gonna take this

Like I don't know how to program my own feed! That sounds like an awesome idea but all I can do is use shit other people made.
At some point you have to realize this site isn't what you think it is. And if you're only defense for running it badly is tools nobody can use, you're screwed.

Ma'am nobody knows how to set that up. Your site isn't purely populated by tech people. But even if it were you do run the default and are responsible for what that does.
If you can't handle running a social media site you should step down.
