There’s also a lot of ignorance from poc choosing to ignore these too, I never saw my mothers natural hair in my entire life because she straightened it to fit certain a societal norms, had to learn to have pride in what makes me, today I cherish my curls and all my character to this day have them.

It’s kinda sad that, every time I meet a white person who recognizes these and chooses not to ignore it I get happy about it but like… I can count the amount of white people who have with just one hand…
