I’m curious about how or whether they’re addressing the issue of using drivers as independent contractors without violating the final rule regarding employee mid classification that was issued March 2024. Much like Uber and Lyft this ride service seems primed to be in violation of it.

The question of why someone behaves badly being answered with “Because they were raised by wolves.” has always seemed ridiculously ignorant to me. They’re such fabulous parents! How about “raised by hamsters” or some other thing that eats its young?

I’d take that bet in a heartbeat.

Medicaid funds healthcare services and other programs for low income individuals (such as Supported Employment, Behavioral Therapy, Psychiatric care,
etc. for ppl with developmental disabilities). Medicare is federal health insurance for ppl age 65 and older.

If I weren’t so worried about my Medicaid funded job being suddenly deemed “wasteful” (because what do developmentally disabled adults need supports coordinators for?) I couldn’t get out of bed in the morning. Instead “hi ho, hi ho it’s off to work I go” to make enough to save for that “rainy day.”

In yet another example of how ignorant our so-called President is, by pulling aid from Africa, he’s allowing China to gain even more of an influential and economic foothold there. They have been heavily investing in infrastructure, healthcare, education, etc. for at least the last 20-25 years.
